Experience

Essential

• Ability to complete comprehensive assessments and form appropriate treatment plans, including mental and physical health issues.
• Experience in assessing and managing medical emergencies
• Experience in safely prescribing medications for physical and mental health conditions
• Demonstrate the ability to concisely, accurately, and legibly record appropriate aspects of the clinical assessment and management plan
• Demonstrate the ability to work effectively with colleagues, including teamwork.
• Maintaining good medical practice
• Experience in teaching and training

Desirable

• Experience of psychiatric practice in a range of settings.
• Experience in treating patients with substance misuse issues.

Skills

Essential

• All applicants must have demonstrable skills in written and spoken English adequate to enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues, demonstrated by one of the following: That applicants have undertaken undergraduate medical training in English. Have achieved the scores of 7.5 in the academic International English Language Testing System (IELTS) in a single sitting within 24 months at the time of application.
