TRANSPORT AND DISTRIBUTION MANAGER – UK Visa Sponsorship Jobs

Introduction

Are you a recent graduate in the UK with an interest in logistics? Ilco Limited are recruiting a Graduate Transport and Distribution Manager to join our fast-track leadership program. This is a high-responsibility post in which you will be taught by our Operations Director to manage a critical pillar of our UK supply chain. We are specifically seeking for a candidate who would be considered “New Entrants” under the UK Home Office criteria. We provide full sponsorship for the Skilled Worker Visa.

Duties

• Supervise all transportation and distribution activities to ensure items are delivered on time and at a cost-effective price.
• Prepare monthly KPI reports for the Directors on delivery accuracy and vehicle downtime.
• Analyse distribution data to detect inefficiencies in route planning and fuel usage.
• Optimise logistics activities using transportation management systems (TMS), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Oversee warehouse employees in shipping, receiving, and inventory control. Monitor compliance with safety regulations.
• Coordinate vehicle maintenance schedule, ensuring all MOTs, inspections, and services are booked without disruption to operations.
• Review weekly departmental spend against the transport budget.
• Coordinate forklift and other warehouse operations to achieve efficient flow of material.
• Follow all health & safety laws in the performance of your distribution activity.

Qualifications

• Recent degree (last 3 years) from a UK University in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, Management, or comparable subject.
• Strong analytical skills (Excel/Data Visualisation)
• Excellent leadership potential and communication skills.
• Strong organisational abilities and the ability to drive teams to operational excellence via continuous improvement methodologies.
• Must be eligible for the New Entrant wage discount (We will check at the interview)

Salary : £33,000.00-£45,000.00 Per Annum
