Position Summary

We’re looking for a seasoned and proactive Logistics Manager to monitor and optimise our supply chain activities. The chosen candidate will be responsible for the management of transportation, warehousing, and distribution activities and to ensure efficient and cost-effective delivery of logistical procedures. Duties

• Create and execute successful category management tactics to improve inventory levels and cut costs.
• Manage transportation management systems (TMS) to coordinate shipping schedules, routes, and freight carriers.
• Manage warehouse operations via the WMS and ERP systems, such as AS400, to ensure proper inventory control and order fulfilment.
• Collaborate with third-party logistics (3PL) suppliers to optimise shipping & receiving operations.
• Lead process improvement efforts to increase efficiency, safety, and quality in logistics processes.
• Supervise goods handling activities, including picking & packaging, forklift trucks as required.
• Analyse Supply Chain Performance Data – Identify patterns, bottlenecks and chances to optimise.
• Compliance with health & safety laws in all logistics activities.
• Work with cross-functional teams to align logistics strategy with overall company goals.

Requirements

• Demonstrable experience as a logistics manager or supply chain manager in a storage or distribution setting.
• Deep grasp of supply chain principles, process improvement approaches, and category management.
• Experience with Transportation Management Systems(TMS), Warehouse Management Systems(WMS), ERP systems such as AS400 and data analysis tools.
• Hands-on expertise with materials handling equipment, such as forklifts; forklift certification is a plus.
• Knowledge of third-party logistics (3PL) operations, shipping & receiving procedures, and warehouse best practices.
• Strong organisational abilities and capacity to manage numerous priorities efficiently.
• Strong analytical skills, capacity to analyse complex data sets to enable decision making.
• Good communication abilities to liaise with internal teams, vendors, and external partners.
