Our TIDES and Early Intervention Service is dedicated to meeting national standards for psychosis care and risk of developing psychosis and ensuring that service users receive compassionate, effective, and recovery-oriented support at a critical stage of their mental health journey.

Main duties of the job

In this role, you will undertake postgraduate training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Psychosis (CBTp), integrating academic learning with supervised clinical practice.

You will undertake comprehensive psychological assessments and provide formulation-driven CBTp interventions to service users within the local community. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will collaborate closely with care coordinators, psychiatrists, family therapists, occupational therapists, and peer support workers to support holistic, recovery-focused care. Throughout your training, you will receive regular clinical supervision from accredited CBT therapists and experienced psychological practitioners, alongside structured line management support.

Upon successful completion of the training programme and accreditation with the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP), you will progress to a qualified CBT Therapist for Psychosis role within the TIDES Service. In this capacity, you will hold a specialist CBTp caseload, delivering evidence-based interventions to people experiencing psychosis, supporting service development initiatives, and contributing to the delivery of high-quality, recovery-oriented care in line with national standards and service priorities.
