Introduction

Care Assistant – We are looking for a caring and committed Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be supporting people in care homes and home care settings to a high standard, guaranteeing their well-being, safety and comfort. The ideal candidate will be organised, have strong communication skills and a real desire to make a positive difference to people’s lives. Experience in care contexts is a benefit but not needed, as complete training will be given. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a supportive atmosphere, developing your talents further.

Responsibilities

• Helping residents/clients with daily tasks such as personal care, mobility and medication prompting
• Supporting people with their personalised care plans to meet their needs
• Providing companionship and emotional support to improve the quality of their lives
• Using IT technology for record-keeping of care delivered
• Communicate effectively with team members, residents and family members to enable seamless care delivery
• Help with light cleaning, meal prep, and other housework as needed
• Always follow health and safety procedures to provide a safe atmosphere for everybody
• Shift pattern is 7.30am to 2.30pm and 2.30pm to 9.30pm, and night shift is 9.30pm to 7.30am
• We work on a two-week cycle; the candidate should be flexible and prepared to work alternative weekends as well as other hours as and when required during sickness and holiday absences.

Work Experience

• Previous experience in a care facility or home care desired but not essential; complete training will be given to appropriate applicants
• Excellent grasp of the English language (spoken and written) for successful communication
• Basic computer skills to maintain accurate data and update care plans.
• Excellent communication abilities to work empathetically with clients and team members
• Ability to operate independently and as a team in a fast-paced setting
