Job Type: Part-time / Regular hours
We are looking for an experienced Support Worker to provide 1:1 support to a gentleman in his 60s who has a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI).
The role is 6 hours per day, 6 days per week, supporting with daily routine, independence, community access, and overall well-being.
Fluent Spanish is essential for this role, as communication and relationship-building will be a key part of the support provided.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide calm, person-centred support in line with the gentleman’s needs, routines, and preferences.
- Support with daily structure, motivation, emotional well-being, and independence.
- Promote safe community access and engagement in meaningful activities.
- Use clear communication when supporting with memory, fatigue, mood changes, or emotional regulation.
- Observe and report any concerns relating to wellbeing, risk, or changes in support needs.
- Work professionally with family members, case managers, and wider professionals where required.
- Maintain confidentiality, professional boundaries, and accurate communication at all times.
Requirements:
- Experience supporting individuals with Traumatic Brain Injury / Acquired Brain Injury.
- Must be fluent in Spanish.
- Previous experience in complex care, rehabilitation, brain injury, or community support is highly desirable.
- Calm, patient, reliable, and confident working 1:1.
- Strong communication skills and ability to build trust.
- Understanding of safeguarding, risk awareness, and person-centred support.
- Enhanced DBS is desirable, or a willingness to complete one.
- Right to work in the UK.
