Table of Contents
- Provide person-centred care to individuals in their own homes.
- Support clients with personal care, including washing, dressing and toileting.
- Assist with medication according to training and care plans.
- Prepare meals and support clients with nutrition and hydration.
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Help with everyday living activities and light household duties.
- Promote clients’ independence, dignity and personal choice.
- Maintain accurate care records and report concerns appropriately.
- Treat clients with kindness, respect and compassion.
- Expected hours are around 37.5 hours per week, although both full-time and part-time arrangements are advertised.
Requirements
- Caring, compassionate and patient personality.
- Good communication skills.
- Reliable, honest and professional approach.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Previous care experience is desirable but not essential.
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is desirable.
- Flexibility to work mornings, evenings and alternate weekends.
- Employment is subject to satisfactory references and an enhanced DBS check.
