In order to provide domiciliary care in Oakham and the nearby areas, we are seeking two experienced Senior Female Care Assistants.

Day, evening, and night shifts are all part of the positions, and some employment is available on weekends. Depending on your availability and the requirements of the service, shift patterns might be discussed.

According to Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010, being female is an occupational necessity for these occupations since the work entails giving intimate personal care to female clients who have indicated a preference for female care staff.

Please be aware that driving is required for this employment and that sponsorship is not currently available for these opportunities.

You have to have

• Access to a car and a valid UK driver’s license are prerequisites for this position.

Principal Duties

• Give personal care, such as dressing, grooming, bathing, and using the restroom.
• Help clients with their daily routines, meals, and medications.
• Provide care in compliance with personalised treatment plans.
• Encourage the autonomy, dignity, privacy, and well-being of your clients.
• Keep an eye on and report any changes in the circumstances, behaviour, or health of your clients.
• Keep thorough records of your care.
• During shifts, assist and mentor care assistants.
• Help with reviews of care plans and care assessments.
• Perform spot checks and assist in upholding the necessary standards of care.
• Address issues, incidents, and emergencies in a suitable manner.
• Interact with clients, family, coworkers, and medical professionals in a professional manner.

Essential Prerequisites

• Prior experience in an adult social care context, such as domiciliary care.
• Experience in a supervisory or senior care position.
• Strong knowledge of medicine administration, protection, and person-centred care.
• The capacity to guide and assist other carers.
• Strong communication abilities both in writing and speaking.
• The capacity to utilise electronic methods for recording care.
• Access to a suitable vehicle and a full UK driving licence.
• Legitimate ability to work in the United Kingdom.
• Day, evening, night, and weekend work are also available.
• Dependable, competent, and capable of working on their own.
• It is ideal to have a Level 3 Health and Social Care qualification or one that is comparable.
