Want to make a difference, yet with a schedule that allows unusual flexibility?
As a Nite Worker, you will be providing support, discussion, and continuity of care during the nite, providing a safe and caring atmosphere for residents.
Essential Duties:
- Talk to the locals, listen to them, help them.
- Follow security procedures; respond to emergency situations; check the building every hour; report concerns such as noise levels.
- Complete admin, incident reports, and handover notes.
- Work independently using standard procedures.
- We will expect you to attend team meetings and training to continue to build skills and knowledge to ensure confidence in your role.
This is a part-time role – a normal routine would be 2 nights per week.
On you
These roles will suit persons with good communication skills, with the capacity to respond and engage effectively, if you have the ability to empathise with others and have the willingness to learn how to enable people to alter their lives, we encourage you to apply.
You should be able to prove that:
- A grasp of the challenges affecting people with mental illness and dual diagnosis.
- Some experience in interacting directly with the public, clients or customers in a hectic service setting.
- Ability to work on own initiative, to remain awake and calm, and to take responsibility in emergencies.
- Knowledge of recordkeeping and administrative procedures.
