Overview

We are seeking a committed and meticulous Pharmacy Dispenser to join our team. The selected candidate will be responsible for the safe and effective delivery of medication to patients. This position demands a commitment to patient care and compliance with pharmacy laws. As a Pharmacy Dispenser you’ll be working with our pharmacists and healthcare experts to give great service and support for our patients.

Duties

• Dispense prescribed pharmaceuticals accurately, and mark appropriately per legal regulations.
• Prepare medicine orders with compounding as appropriate.
• Maintain accurate patient records and medication profiles and maintain confidentiality at all times.
• Give information and advice to patients about their medicines, including how to take them and possible side effects.
• Work with pharmacists to manage inventory levels, including ordering and replenishing supplies as needed.
• Adhere to all health and safety rules and regulations within the pharmacy.
• Participate in training and development opportunities to expand pharmacological knowledge.

Skills

• Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician or in a similar function is highly appreciated.
• Good awareness of drug administration procedures and pharmaceutical terminology.
• Excellent patient care skills and the ability to successfully communicate with a varied demographic.
• Good eye for detail and organisational ability to deal with various duties efficiently.
