Summary of the Job

We are looking for highly motivated, experienced Baristas and Catering Assistants to help support the service to give a high-grade food and drink offer to our students and guests in a friendly environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong ‘Can-do’attitude and be client-focused. You will also have a passion for food and drink service, the ability to work utilising your initiative and operate as part of a team, capacity to remain focused during busy times, maintaining high levels of sanitation, food safety, and attention to detail whilst providing speed and efficiency of service. You will have to be physically healthy as you will be undertaking various jobs of transporting stock or equipment and carrying out cleaning responsibilities within the firm.

You will be involved in the preparation and service of food and drink in various outlets across the campus and ensure customer satisfaction whilst helping to drive sales. You will be responsible for implementing all food safety, health & safety and COSHH practices within food production and service areas. You will also take on all washing up and cleaning responsibilities to ensure the highest standards of cleaning and hygiene are maintained in all locations.

Service Details

The Catering department is located in the grounds of a small, pleasant campus with decent transport links. The Catering team is responsible for the greatest campus dining experience for our students, staff and visitors and hospitality for occasions and events.

We are seeking individuals who have a passion and enthusiasm for food service and the drive to always offer food to the highest possible standard to workers, students and staff. We are a developing team, and you will get the opportunity to work across all parts of the business, including the restaurant, cafés and events. A large number of our staff have progressed within the service, and successful candidates will have the benefit of a dedicated line manager.
