1. Rolling the Opposit Way
This is one of the methods to flatten a mousepad. If your mouse pad is curled, always roll the mousepads the opposite way before you lay them down. After that, and a couple of days, they’re always flat. You need to give it the opposite force. Only putting something on it isn’t gonna flatten it.
2. Iron it with a towel over the top
Simply apply a mild heat in the opposite direction. Most Mouse Pads are made of rubber materials and they change orientation when the heat is applied. Apply a mildly warm pressing iron with a towel of a heavy cloth over the top and observe the outcome. If its made of any kind of rubber it will soften with heat and the shape will set in when it cools.
3. Fasten it on the Desk using Tape
You can use double-sided tape to keep your mouse pad flat on your desk. This will also prevent the mouse pad from slipping.
4. Apply Some Pressure on it
This will take some days but it works fine. Simply apply some weight on the curled mouse pad with the folded edge facing down. Stack some books and leave it for a couple of days and it will be flattened. Make sure the weight is distributed evenly. If it does not work, try more weight? For longer? While it’s under the weight you could try using a hair dryer to heat up the mouse pad so it might be more receptive to losing the bends.
5. Use hairdryer
If you have a hair dryer, you can also gently warm it up (NOT HOT) which will help relax it and flatten out. The heat will definitely help flatten it out. Not too sure about the RGB components myself unfortunately tho. I would guess a hairdryer would be low temp enough tho.
