An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated senior Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist to lead our front door therapy team at Lincoln Hospital. We are looking for an enthusiastic Physiotherapist or Occupational therapist who has wide-ranging clinical experience, good communication and interpersonal skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality patient-centred care to join our Front Door Therapy team. The ideal candidate will have the motivation and passion to drive the development of the acute front door therapy service

As the team lead, you will provide and develop your team to ensure a high standard of therapy service is delivered for the Front Door specialty, including Frailty. You will be required to work closely in an integrated manner with other members of the multidisciplinary team (MDT) to promote independence, provide rapid assessments, and facilitate safe, timely, and appropriate discharges within the Emergency departments, medical assessment units, and any other admission unit within Lincoln County Hospital.

You will play a major role in the overall service development of the team and specialty, working with senior team members, operational lead, Head of Therapies, and manage, supervise the development of staff members within the team.

Therapies at the Front Door is a Trust-wide service; you will be required to travel to other sites (Pilgrim Hospital) as demands arise.

Main duties of the job

Operating hours -7 day service working 8.00 AM to 8.00PM

Flexible working – Our extended hours provide the appointable candidate with the flexibility to create a work schedule that suits their needs.

The successful applicant will lead the development of an experienced clinical team of therapy staff of Bands 3-6 and will support the development of Therapy staff as part of the wider MDT to deliver evidence-based interventions in the front door and frailty speciality. The successful candidate must be flexible, innovative & highly motivated. The role requires the appointed person to be proactive and adaptable to support the smooth and prompt transition of hospital care to the individuals’ place of discharge, taking into account their needs. The successful applicant will be well supported within the therapy department and will be encouraged to develop the service. Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential

  • Degree/MSc in Physiotherapy/Occupational therapy
  • Evidence of relevant postgraduate courses/CPD
  • 5 GCSEs or equivalent at Grade C or above, including English Language and Maths
  • IELTS level 7 for staff whose first language is not English
  • Registration with HCPC

Desirable

  • Supervisory skills
  • Membership of CSP/RCOT

Previous Experience

Essential

  • Proven NHS experience, including work atthe  Band 6 level in a variety of clinical areas.
  • Proven skills in a specialist area
  • evidence of supervising staff and students

Desirable

  • Post Graduate clinical education
  • Master’s level course attendance.
  • Evidence of previous experience in audits.
  • Relevant validated clinical courses
