To provide a Service of Care to customers so that they may live as independently as possible. The Care Service will entail a program of personal care and household management personalised for each client in the form of a Care Plan. It is accordingly agreed that the care tasks shall involve aiding the client with the following activities and in so doing shall at all times observe and protect the client’s dignity, privacy and independence as far as practical:

1.1 Personal Care:

1.1.1

Dressing and undressing / helping the client to get ready for Day Care or outings out

1.1.2

Washing/bathing/showering/shaving/grooming/cleaning teeth

1.1.3

Caring for hair (washing/brushing)

1.1.4

Care of nails (fingernails only).

1.1.5

All areas of personal hygiene and toileting.

1.1.6

Management of continence.

1.1.7

Care of pressure sores (including under appropriate nursing supervision).

1.1.8

Moving in and out of bed.

1.1.9

Assist with the use of Aids to Daily Living / Rehabilitation Aids, if required.

1.1.10

Support rehabilitation programs as advised by healthcare professionals.

1.1.11

Day/evening/night sitting services as required.

1.2 Health Care

Assist the client to take prescribed medication.

1.3 Feeding Management

1.3.1

Prepare snacks and meals according to the client’s likes and dislikes.

1.3.2

Assist with feeding, if required.
