Manchester’s Baguley Pharmacy
Manchester’s Baguley Pharmacy is looking for a skilled, patient-focused chemist to join our expanding, customer-focused community pharmacy. Delivering top-notch NHS and private services is a major focus of this clinically focused position.
For the suitable candidate, we can sponsor a UK skilled worker visa; however, candidates must already be fully qualified and registered with the GPhC as chemists.

Tasks
- Accurately dispense prescription drugs in compliance with legal and medical regulations.
- Give patients professional guidance on how to take medications, possible adverse effects, and interactions.
- Keep an eye on how patients are responding to drug regimens, and work with medical specialists to modify treatments as needed.
- In accordance with data protection laws, keep thorough records of all prescriptions filled and patient interactions.
- Help with medication inventory management, including reordering and stock inspections to guarantee that necessary medications are available.
- To ensure the best possible health outcomes, educate patients on medical problems and drug adherence.
- Work with medical personnel to create individualised treatment programs tailored to each patient’s needs.
- Ensure that all applicable healthcare laws, guidelines, and best practices are followed.
Delivery of Clinical Services
Offer the entire spectrum of NHS services, such as:
- Consultation Service for Community Pharmacists (CPCS)
- Overseas employment guide
- The New Medicine Service (NMS)
- Structured Reviews of Medications (if appropriate)
- Case Finding for Hypertension
- Services for Quitting Smoking
- Seasonal immunisation campaigns (COVID-19, flu)
- Provide private services like:
- Vaccinations and health consultations for travel
- Programs for managing weight
- Private prescription (if eligible)
- Health screening (risk of diabetes, cholesterol)
Care for Patients
- Give professional clinical guidance and medication counselling
- Assist patients with both mild and chronic illnesses
- Encourage health and wellness by being proactive.
- Uphold strict guidelines for confidentiality and protection
Operations & Dispensing
- Assure precise, effective, and safe dosing
- Continue to adhere to SOPs and GPhC standards.
- Assist with daily pharmacy operations
- Oversee and assist the pharmaceutical team.
Development of Services
- Encourage and increase the provision of clinical services
- Contribute to patient satisfaction and business expansion
- Work toward KPIs and service targets
Essential Requirements (Must Have)
- Pharmacist registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
- qualified to work in the UK with a skilled worker visa (sponsorship available)

- Strong clinical expertise and a patient-centered methodology
- Outstanding consultation and communication abilities
- Capacity to confidently provide NHS pharmacy services
