Job Description

We are looking for a creative and strategic IT Director to drive the IT strategy and infrastructure for our organization. In this key role you will be responsible for the design, development and implementation of new IT solutions to support corporate growth and operational excellence. Under your direction, we will provide the security, scalability and efficiency of our IT systems, creating a progressive environment embracing new and emerging technologies such as cloud computing, machine learning and DevOps approaches. Responsibilities

• Design and implement holistic IT strategies to achieve business objectives with emphasis on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), data management and cybersecurity frameworks (NIST).

• Design and implement enterprise system architecture such as ERP systems, data warehousing and application development frameworks using technologies such as..NET, Java, Python, PHP, Angular, React, Node.js, SQL databases.
• Manage network architecture WAN, VPN’s, Firewalls, DNS, LAN’s, SAN’s (Storage Area Network), MPLS networks and Virtualisation platforms like vSphere.
• Manage system administration duties including as server management, Active Directory services, Microsoft Exchange environments, and help desk responsibilities to provide flawless user support.
• Apply robust information security methods to ensure data integrity and network security, in line with industry norms like NIST.
• Directed project management activities using SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) approaches to deliver high quality software development projects on schedule and within budget.
• Promote innovation using emerging technologies including AI, machine learning, DevOps methods, APIs integration, disaster recovery planning to boost operational resilience.
• Led cross functional teams with straightforward communication and leadership that drives continual progress in system design, analysis skills and technical expertise throughout the organization.

Experience The experience

• Track record of success in senior IT management roles with considerable experience in management of large scale IT infrastructure and software development projects.
• Good knowledge of Cloud computing platforms like AWS , Azure and virtualisation technologies like vSphere.
• Practical experience with network security tools like firewall, VPN, DNS management, WAN/LAN setups, VoIP systems and network design.
• Good knowledge of enterprise software such as ERP (SAP or Oracle), database management (SQL Server, Oracle), web design frameworks (HTML/CSS/JavaScript/React/Angular).
• Hands-on experience in establishing information security standards according to NIST guidelines; Knowledge of disaster recovery plans and business continuity plans.
• Experienced in leading cross-functional teams with strong communication skills to negotiate vendor contracts or project scopes to optimise resources.
• Ability to rapidly analyse complex technological issues and apply management best practices to develop unique solutions in support of organisational growth.
