Officina Gastronomica Italiana is a vibrant Italian bistro located in the heart of Hawksburn Village, Prahran, that captures the essence of real Italian food, wine, artisan coffee and warm hospitality. We’re a neighbourhood location that’s all about quality, fun and having a welcoming atmosphere that makes our customers feel right at home.

We’re searching for someone who can handle the high demand of our busy café with professionalism, positivity and a genuine passion for Italian Food & Coffee culture in Melbourne.

The role is:

The Cafe All Rounder will complete a range of tasks to help the cafe run smoothly. This is a diverse role and demands great customer service skills and the ability to multi-task quickly.

This position is perfect for someone who likes talking to people, has a passion for Food & Beverage, and appreciates working in a fast-paced, team-oriented workplace.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create service components
• Greeting and salutations
• Operate Ordermate.
• food & beverage operationally
• food and drink handling
• Sequence of service implementation
• Opening and closing process

QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS:

• Experience working in cafes, restaurants, or similar settings
• Upselling and cross-selling ability by recommending additional things such as appetizers, side dishes, desserts, and drinks
• Promote deals and new products
• Work collaboratively and communicate with other staff members to guarantee smooth operations in the cafe
• Possess a valid RSA
