Job Summary

We are looking for a caring and committed Domiciliary Care Worker with a DRIVING LICENCE to deliver a high standard of care in people’s own homes.

This important function includes assisting clients with daily living tasks, fostering independence and promoting safety and well-being.

As a Domiciliary Care Worker, you will be the welcoming face and reliable support system to individuals in need of help, creating a positive environment that increases their quality of life.

Your energy, sensitivity, and attention to detail will make a difference in your clients’ lives every single day.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Assist clients with personal care tasks such as washing, clothing, grooming, and mobility assistance that enhance dignity and independence
• Assist with medication administration as per care plans to promote safety and compliance
• Prepare healthy meals to meet nutritional demands and personal preferences
• Help clients with minor cleaning, laundry and errands to ensure they have a clean and comfortable living environment
• Report changes in clients’ health state, behaviour or concerns to the care team in a timely fashion
• Provide friendship and emotional support to alleviate feelings of loneliness or isolation
• Transport the client safely to appointments, errands, social activities, and other destinations as needed.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home, hospice or home care settings is preferred.
• Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, senior care, and behaviour management
• First aid and CPR certification or training preferred.
• Full UK driving licence and clean driving record required for transport responsibilities
• Ability to handle large items securely when assisting with mobility or domestic responsibilities
• Excellent communication skills and a caring approach with clients of all ages, including children as applicable
• Ability to work a variety of shifts including morning, evening, weekend or overnight shifts as needed.
