Description

• Provide telephone and text-based mental health support to people of all ages across Dudley, Wolverhampton, Sandwell and Walsall.

• Conduct assessments to identify callers’ needs and immediate support requirements.

• Develop and review personalised support and safety plans.

• Help individuals manage risks and develop coping strategies.

• Refer callers to appropriate community and statutory services.

• Work with colleagues, volunteers and partner organisations.

• Maintain accurate case notes and service records.

• Contribute to service quality and continuous improvement.

• Deliver compassionate, person-centred support while working remotely.

Requirements

• Experience supporting people with mental health conditions or working in health, social care or support services.

• Ability to assess individual needs, identify risks and develop support plans.

• Good understanding of mental health and recovery-focused care.

• QCF Diploma/NVQ Level 3 in Care, Certificate in Community Mental Healthcare or equivalent, or willingness to obtain a relevant qualification.

• Excellent communication, listening and problem-solving skills.

• Commitment to Rethink Mental Illness values and CARES behaviours.

• Enhanced DBS clearance covering adults and children.

• Willingness to work overnight shifts, weekends, bank holidays and Christmas/New Year rotas.

• Ability to work from home.
