Job Summary
We have an opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic Band 5 Occupational Therapist to work alongside the Rapid Therapy Assessment team at Scunthorpe Hospital. You will provide assessment on shirt stay working with the seniors in the team, working in a and e and short stay areas.
This is an exciting opportunity for occupational therapists to gain skills and experience working across both acute and community services.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicants will receive formal support from senior staff within the team, together with preceptorship in their first year and regular supervision and Appraisal. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of your own caseload of patients and participate in quality assurance processes for the allocation of the work.
The rotations include community settings and outreach; you will be required to be able to travel across the county within your duties. You will have the opportunity to work very closely with social care staff and nurses. As a junior clinician, you will hold a standard case load and you will have the ability and support to make clinically evidence-based decisions across a range of physical patient conditions. You will be expected to work as an autonomous practitioner, manage and prioritise your case load.
