Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming and mobility.

• Help clients maintain their comfort, dignity, independence and safety.

• Support medication administration in accordance with prescribed schedules and safety procedures.

• Prepare nutritious meals that meet clients’ dietary needs and preferences.

• Provide compassionate support to individuals receiving hospice or palliative care.

• Respect clients’ personal wishes, dignity and individual care requirements.

• Monitor clients’ health conditions and report any changes promptly.

• Maintain accurate records of care provided and relevant observations.

• Communicate effectively with clients and other care professionals.

• Assist with physically demanding care tasks, including mobility support, when required.

Requirements

• Previous experience in assisted living, nursing homes or home-care environments is highly desirable.

• First aid and medication-administration training or certification is advantageous.

• Ability to carry out physically demanding tasks and lift heavy objects safely when required.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to manage challenging behaviours appropriately.

• A compassionate attitude and genuine interest in supporting people who need care.

• A full UK driving licence and access to a car are queried in the application process; confirm whether both are mandatory for the specific position.

• A clean driving record is preferred for driving responsibilities.

• Willingness to work in person and undertake the duties associated with personal and residential care.
