Job Description

We are looking for a committed Support Worker to provide caring help and support to those in need. The role involves working closely with children and young people, supporting their growth and their day-to-day activities. Looking for someone with a caring nature, great communication skills, and a real desire to make a difference in people’s lives. This is paid employment that provides an opportunity to build valuable mentoring, teaching, and working skills in a supportive atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Give one-on-one help to children and young people to promote their social and emotional development
• Assistance with daily living tasks such as personal care, education activities, and leisure outings.
• Create a safe, inclusive environment that develops independence and confidence
• Design bespoke programming that supports behavioural development and learning goals
• Conduct one-to-one mentoring sessions to guide and motivate individuals
• Help with assignments and provide new skills to support education activities
• Work with families, teachers, and other professionals to follow through on consistent support plans
• Keep accurate records of progress and any events in compliance with organisational norms

Requirements

• Experience or an interest in working with children or young people is highly desirable
• Experience in coaching, teaching, or helping with the development of behaviour is a plus
• Compassionate, has good interpersonal skills
• Flexible working with colleagues
• Great organising skills to efficiently manage multiple responsibilities
• It is useful if you have related childcare or social care qualifications or training, although this is not a must
• A positive attitude and dedication to the happiness and development of individuals

Salary

Pay: £24,420.00 – £36,089.96 per annum
