Summary of the Job
We are looking for a committed Pharmaceutical Technician (qualified or trainee) or Accuracy Checking Dispenser to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will assist chemists in preparing and administering medication and ensuring the safety of patients and the maintenance of accurate records. Responsibilities
- Dispensing / Checking of prescriptions in conformity with legal and organisational policies and procedures.
- Keep track of pharmaceutical inventory, including checking levels and reordering as necessary.
- Assist with patient care activities include answering questions about medication use and negative effects.
- Maintain accurate records of administration of drugs, prescriptions and patient information.
- To ensure that the pharmacy environment complies with health and safety regulations.
- Support in training new staff as needed.
- Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, organisation and secrecy at all times.
Skills
- Experience as a pharmacy technician or Accuracy Checking.
- Experience as a Dispenser or comparable function is very appreciated.
- Understanding of drugs and patient care processes.
- Strong organisational abilities with attention to detail to guarantee accuracy in record keeping and medication handling.
- Excellent communication abilities to communicate effectively with patients, healthcare professionals and team members.
- Ability to work both solo and as a team.
- Good knowledge of health and safety rules in pharmaceutical practice.
- Flexibility with changing priorities in a busy pharmacy.
