Summary of the Job

We are looking for a skilled and imaginative Video Editor to join our busy media team. The best person for the job will be in charge of making high-quality videos that fit with our brand and meet the goals of the project. This job is a great chance to work on a variety of projects, such as promotional films and social media material, using a wide range of editing software and techniques. The person who gets the job will be very detail-oriented, a good storyteller, and skilled in using several Adobe Creative Suite programs.

Responsibilities

• Edit raw footage into finished videos that may be used on a variety of platforms, making sure that the visuals are consistent and the story flows.
• Add graphics, colour grading, sound effects, and music to make the video look better.
• Work with designers, content creators, and marketing teams to figure out what the project needs and tell interesting stories through visuals.
• Keep track of numerous projects at once and meet all deadlines.
• Use specialised software like Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Adobe After Effects, and Adobe Illustrator to make interesting content.
• Use your photography abilities when filming or picking pictures for video projects.
• Keep project files structured and make sure that all assets are kept and backed up correctly.
• Keep up with the newest developments in video editing and making multimedia.

What you need

• A strong portfolio that shows a range of video editing projects you’ve worked on in the past
• You should be able to use Adobe Creative Suite, which includes Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator.
• It would be helpful to have worked with Final Cut Pro before.
• A good grasp of the basics and techniques of photography
• A lot of experience in colour grading, motion graphics, and visual effects
• Great at organising and able to handle a lot of deadlines at once
• A creative mind, an eye for detail, and great narrative skills
• Able to work alone and with others on a team
• A recognised qualification or similar work experience in media production or a related industry is preferred.
