Delight Care & Support Services Ltd is a CIW certified domiciliary care company providing support to people to live safely and independently in their own homes in Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan. We provide person-centred care with dignity, respect and compassion and are proud of the supporting team we have developed.

The Position

We are looking for caring and reliable female Care Support Workers with a full UK driving licence and own car. You will visit clients in their homes, help with activities of daily living and help them to remain independent and comfortable.

This post is open to female applicants only under the Equality Act 2010 (Schedule 9) as it is based on the personal care needs of our clients.

Main Responsibilities

• Provide personal care including bathing, dressing and toileting with decency and respect.
• Administer or prescribe medication as per MAR charts and training.
• Prepare food and drink and assist with appropriate nutrition and hydration.
• Support safe movement and manual handling.
• Perform light domestic duties as outlined on the care plan.
• Provide company and emotional support.
• Ensure that our digital care system has accurate and complete records.
• Always adhere to individual care plans and company policies.

Key Requirements

• Full UK driving licence and access to own car (important).
• Women applicants exclusively.
• UK right to work.
• Willing to undergo Enhanced DBS check.
• Good communication skills and a genuine caring personality.
• Previous experience in care work is desired but not needed, as complete training is offered.
