Female Drivers for Home Support Worker – Sponsorship Available

Are you a caring, patient, and reliable person who wants to make a difference in someone’s life?” We’re now recruiting for eager and dedicated Support Workers to join our welcoming team at Invercare.

As a Support Worker, you will be providing person-centred care and support to individuals with, but not limited to, learning impairments, autism, mental health issues and physical disabilities.

Hours

• Full time
• Part time

Main duties:

• Offer personal care – support with everyday chores such as washing, dressing, toileting and eating as appropriate.
• Encourage independence: Enable service users to make decisions and live as independently as they can.
• Help with everyday living: Assist with meal preparation, cleaning, shopping and medication management.
• Emotional support: Provide companionship, create trust and give reassurance and encouragement.
• Monitoring and reporting: Monitor and record changes in physical or mental health and report concerns to senior staff.
• Community access: Assist people to enter the community, attend appointments or participate in social events.
• Safeguarding: To ensure the safety and wellbeing of service users in accordance with safeguarding policies and procedures.
• Documentation: Keep thorough records of the support offered and the results attained.

What we are looking for:

• Caring, empathic and passionate personality.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Team player and able to work independently.
• Willingness to work shifts including evenings and weekends.
• Training will be given, so experience in a similar post or related health and social care certification is not needed.
• Sleepovers could be mandatory.

Wanted:

• Experience of working in a support/care capacity.
• SVQ Level 2 or 3 Health and Social Care (or working towards it).
• First Aid & Handling training.
• Knowledge of health and safety practices.
