Job Summary

Table of Contents

This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of the multidisciplinary team within Integrated Community Paediatric Services in Suffolk. You will work as a Specialist Nursery Nurse within the Community Complex Care Team.

We encompass community working and liaise with many professionals depending on the needs of the child/family. As part of your role, you will be expected to be aware of these services, observe, and hand over important information to aid communication, as well as adhere to safeguarding policies.

Main duties of the job

The Nursery Nurse is required to perform any care needed that the child requires during their shift. This is a varied and ever-changing role, depending on the child that you are caring for. This means you will be required to undertake competency-based training that is bespoke to our team and the needs of the case load. This is continually updated and adapted depending on need.

While caring for the child, you will need to have the confidence and understanding to work without direct supervision from senior nurses, although you understand the steps to take when additional support is required. Our packages of care are cross-county and as part of your role, you are expected to travel and be adaptable to changes on the rota that can occur daily.

The team is managed by the Team lead and care coordinators, who you will be responsible for. They manage the everyday needs of the care package, arranging shifts, problem-solving, clinical supervision, and direct guidance.
