Cafe Manager – Sponsorship (Visa Support) Available

Are you a café manager with expertise, an excellent barista, and passionate about hospitality by the water?

Sunset Pier Café, a vibrant waterfront spot known for its laid-back nights and community activities, is seeking a full-time Café Manager to lead the team, develop menus, organise events, and manage rosters.

Position

• Manage daily café operations (5 days/week, including weekends)
• Lead, coach and roster a team of front of house and barista workers.
• Experienced barista to prepare and train personnel – Consistent coffee quality and service standards.
• Plan seasonal menus, daily specials and beverage selections consistent with café style and waterfront clientele.
• Plan and run events (live music, pop-ups, private bookings) working with suppliers and performers.
• Manage stock control, supplier orders, cost control and basic financial reporting.
• Keep venue clean and welcoming, ensuring health and safety and food hygiene compliance.
• Resolve consumer issues and maintain great relationships with customers.

Preconditions

• Minimum 2 years proven management experience in a restaurant/café environment.
• Experience working with espresso machines and beverage preparation; hands-on barista experience.
• Excellent leadership, time management and rostering skills.
• Experience in event planning and menu development would be an advantage.
• Sound knowledge of stock control, cost of goods and fundamental financial procedures.
• Customer-driven, reliable with the ability to work weekends and evenings as required.
• Current food safety certificate and local right to work.
