UKmate LTD | London EC2M 4YP

Full-time, in person | £30,000–£40,000 per year, depending on experience

UK VISA SPONSORSHIP AVAILABLE

We can provide UK work visa sponsorship for suitable candidates, subject to eligibility and applicable visa requirements.

Take ownership of a residential property portfolio and see problems through to resolution. At UKmate, you will work with landlords, tenants and contractors to keep properties well maintained, tenancies running smoothly and people informed.

This role suits someone who enjoys practical problem-solving, can handle difficult conversations in Mandarin and English, and follows up without waiting to be chased. You will work from London and attend properties for inspections, access and issues that need an on-site response.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Manage day-to-day landlord and tenant enquiries, prioritising urgent incidents and keeping people updated until each issue is resolved.

Arrange and carry out property inspections, record findings and follow through on maintenance and preventative work.

Coordinate repairs from the first report to completion: clarify the problem, arrange access, brief contractors and check that the work has been completed properly.

Manage maintenance budgets: compare quotations, obtain the necessary landlord approval, track spending and keep accurate repair and invoice records.

Handle complaints calmly, explain the next step clearly and give updates when promised, including when a repair is delayed.

Keep property records and compliance follow-ups organised, working with relevant professionals and escalating matters that need specialist advice.

Work with UK and China colleagues through clear written handovers, with a named owner and next action for outstanding tasks.

Support lettings and tenancy renewals during busy periods.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Fluent spoken and written Mandarin and English, used to communicate with landlords, tenants and contractors.

Relevant property management, lettings, housing or maintenance coordination experience. At least one year of real estate experience is preferred.

Examples of repairs, tenant concerns or competing priorities that you have personally managed through to a clear outcome.

Confidence coordinating contractors, comparing costs and keeping accurate records using property management software or similar tools.

Working knowledge of UK residential property requirements and the judgement to seek specialist advice when needed.

Willingness and ability to travel to London properties as part of the role.

A bachelor’s degree is preferred, but relevant practical experience is also valued.

HOW TO APPLY

Apply through Indeed with your CV. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to complete a practical written assessment covering tenant communication, repair prioritisation and follow-through before interview.
