You will be paid at Band 3. Fixed-term contract terminating 30/9/2028. The course is challenging and requires studying in your own time so an aptitude to learning is required.

Due to this being an apprenticeship, you can only apply if you meet the criteria below:

• Have the equivalent of 9 to 4 or A* to C pass at GCSE Level in English Language, Maths, Science, plus 1 other subject pass.
• Level 2 Dispensing Assistant Course, along with Functional Skills Level 2 in Maths and English.
• Overseas qualifications – require ENIC Statement of Comparability, number required on application form
• You cannot be considered with Access to HE qualifications or Degrees if they contain pharmacology content.
• The Education provider reviews qualifications; submission of qualification certificates/ENIC statement of comparability is required before the interview.
• As a Pharmacy Technician apprentice, you’ll participate in a fixed-term training programme. Involving work-based training and formal study (underpinning knowledge).
• Interviews to be held on the 30th June and 1st July 2026 – applicants must be available on this date.
• Assessment activities are used as part of the application process.

Main duties of the job

• As a member of the pharmacy team, your duties will include dispensing prescriptions, medicine management at the ward level, stores/distribution, and aseptic production.
• Your rota will span across Charing Cross Hospital, Hammersmith Hospital, and St Mary’s Hospital, so you must be able to travel to all sites.
• You will also be required to work as part of the late duty and weekend/bank holiday team rotas.
