Summary
Automeds Pharmacy (a division of Wellbeing Pharmacy Group) is seeking a GPhC-registered Pharmacist to join a modern, process-driven pharmacy assisting care homes and organised care providers.
This is not your normal high street role and is perfect for chemists who like:
- Structured workflows vs. walk-in pressure
- System-assisted clinical accuracy
- Minimal interaction at the counter
What Sets This Position Apart
- AI-assisted clinical check model
- 20–30% of prescriptions require direct pharmacist clinical checking, which allows attention to:
- Exceptions and special situations
- Clinical services and optimisation
- Oversight rather than repetition checking
- MDS/Dosette & Original Pack Automation Robotic Dispensing
- Planned, repeat-based workload, rather than reactive dispensing
What You Will Do
- Clinical verification in a large volume, automated environment
- Supporting care home medication supply (bulk and repeat)
- Provision of planned services such as immunisations and care home visits
- Work with experienced dispensers and business support teams
- Contributing to process optimisation and the efficiency of the workflow
- Occasional support in other sections under remote supervision and authorising chemist model

Clinical Exposure (Structured, not high-volume counter work)

Regular visits to care homes involving inspections, optimisation, and staff liaisons

Requirements
- Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council or eligible through the EEA pathway
- Interest in process-oriented, non-retail pharmaceutical models
- Works comfortably with automation and AI-supported systems
- You must be qualified in the UK or EEA to apply. Non-EEA qualifications must be previously recognised or converted.
