Packing Operative – Laboratory Shipping Team (UK Visa Sponsorship available)
We are seeking reliable, detail-oriented individuals to join our Laboratory Shipping Team in a hands-on, morning packing role.
This is a hands-on, active position ideal for someone who appreciates routine, scheduled work, remaining occupied, and being on their feet for the length of the shift.
You will be joining a youthful, friendly company, but we are happy to hear from more experienced or senior individuals as well.
This employment would suit someone happy to come in and do their job properly and then leave at the end of the shift without the desire for long-term career growth.
We are seeking candidates who are consistent, systematic, dependable, and comfortable working within a routine-focused, process-driven setting with an eye for detail.
Full training will be given.
Hours of Work
Morning shift: 8.00am – 12.00pm Monday-Friday.
Position Summary
Responsible for the preparation, packing, and shipment of customer samples in line with internal SOPs and IATA rules.
This is a structured process-oriented profession where accuracy, consistency, and attention to detail are a must.
Main tasks
- Pack boxes and samples for shipment as per SOPs and IATA requirements
- Participate in daily morning shipping briefings and document particular client requirements
- Verify lot numbers, matrix information, and sample amounts against shipping papers accurately
- Scan and send documents to the appropriate team members
- Monitor dry ice usage and storage
- Create and maintain a tidy, safe, and orderly working environment
- Refilling packing consumables and supplies
Other Duties
Any other duties as reasonably asked by the line manager to support the smooth running of the organization.
Candidate Requirements – Must Have
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- GCSE Grade C or above (or equivalent) in English and Maths
- Excellent attention to detail and correctness
Position Requirements Desired Candidate
- Previous experience in a laboratory or warehouse would be advantageous, but is not needed, since complete training would be given
- IATA Qualification
