About the home
Our brand new therapeutic children’s residential home in Hemel Hempstead supports 2 children of any gender, aged 8–17, with emotional and behavioural difficulties. It’s a small, nurturing environment where consistent, compassionate care truly matters.
Your role
Working through the night as the sole waking staff member (with sleep-in colleagues on site), you’ll provide calm, consistent support, checking in on children, offering reassurance if they wake, completing light household tasks, writing accurate logs, and helping with the morning routine before handover to the day team.

What we’re looking for
· Experience working with children or in childcare settings is desirable; full training will be provided
· Valid driving licence with a clean record preferred
· Knowledge of child development and care planning processes
· Excellent communication skills
· Basic IT skills for documentation and reporting
· A compassionate, patient, and reliable approach to supporting young people
