Ready to take the lead and build and deliver results?

We are seeking an ambitious and experienced Area Manager to take ownership of a set of Papa John’s stores across the Glasgow area.

This is a practical multi-site leadership post for someone who loves to work at pace, can get the best from others and has a strong commercial head.

You will work closely with our Store Managers and their teams, spending the majority of your time in shops; coaching, developing, challenging and supporting our people to produce exceptional customer service, high operational standards and sustainable sales and profit growth.

What you will be doing:

• Leading the day-to-day performance of several Papa John’s stores throughout the Glasgow area.
• Coaching, assisting and growing Store Managers and their management teams.
• Recruiting and developing exceptional people and generating a solid pipeline of future managers to launch new stores in the area.
• Driving sales growth and looking for possibilities to improve the performance of our stores.
• Control of critical business costs, such as labour, food costs, stock, wastage and other controllable costs.
• Store KPI review and translating performance data into actionable plans.
• Meet Papa John’s brand and operational requirements in store consistently.
• Ensuring high levels of Food safety, health & safety, hygiene and compliance.
• Increasing client happiness, service times, product quality and order accuracy.
• Supporting labour scheduling to make sure retailers have the right workers in the right place at the right time.
• Frequent store inspections, performance assessments and operational audits.
• Supporting marketing and sales-building activities for the local store.
• Holding Store Managers accountable, yet supporting them with the instruction they need to succeed.
• Creating a good, high-energy, performance-centred culture across the area.

What we are looking for:

You’ll ideally possess:

• Previous experience in multi-site QSR, takeaway/delivery, restaurant, hospitality or similar fast-paced environments.
• Proven track record in managing and developing Managers.
• Sound knowledge of business combined with experience in controlling sales, labour, food expenses and profitability.
• Strong leadership, coaching and communication skills.
• The capacity to assess KPIs and rapidly identify where action is required.
• High standards of operation and meticulous attention to detail.
• A customer-first mindset and passion for delivering outstanding service.
• The confidence to make decisions, to solve problems and to hold others accountable.
• A positive attitude and willing to put in the hours. This is not a 9-5 gig. Not glancing at your watch.
• Flexibility to work across different stores and at different times as the demands of the business dictate.
• A full UK driving licence and a willingness to travel regularly between outlets.
• Experience with Papa John’s, Domino’s, Pizza Hut or any other multi-site QSR/delivery brand would be a definite plus.

What we provide:

Job Type: Full-time, Indefinite

Salary: Starting at £35,000+ based on experience, with OTE Bonus £10,000
