What You’ll Do

As a Care Assistant, you will be:

• Helping people move from hospital to home
• Supporting service users to be independent and confident
• Providing care in line with individualised care plans

Assistance with:

• Personal hygiene
• Administration of medication
• Vital signs monitoring
• Support for exercise and rehabilitation
• Housework
• Liaise with health care professionals e.g. district nurses, pharmacies

Working Hours

• 7:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. shifts
• Full-time contracts (up to 40 hours each week)

Pay & Benefits

• £13.00 – £15.00 per hour
• Mileage paid at 35p per mile

Requirements

• Full UK driving licence and use of your own car (essential)
• Experience in domiciliary/home care is desirable (minimum 1 year) but not needed as complete in-person training will be given
• Ability to read and follow care plans
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Basic IT skills for documentation and reporting
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts to meet the needs of service users
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to connect effectively with clients, families and health care professionals
