Description

• Operate a counterbalance forklift safely within a busy yard.

• Load and unload lorries and shipping containers.

• Move and position materials and goods around the yard.

• Ensure goods are handled safely and securely.

• Follow workplace health and safety procedures.

• Keep the yard clean, tidy and organised.

• Work with colleagues to meet daily operational requirements.

• Complete on-site training for container loading and lorry loading/unloading procedures.

• Forklift licence: A current licence is not essential, as on-site training will be provided; however, previous counterbalance forklift operating experience is essential.

Requirements

• Previous experience operating a counterbalance forklift — essential.

• Previous experience in a yard, warehouse or similar working environment.

• Willingness to learn container loading and lorry loading/unloading procedures.

• Comfortable working in a busy, physically demanding environment.

• Able to work effectively as part of a team.
