Prerequisites

• Full UK driving licence and access to a car
• Confident driver (our consumers reside in rural areas)
• You must be a resident of the West Berkshire area or North Hampshire
• 6 months UK domiciliary care experience needed
• DBS update service
• Ability to work in a team
• A caring, empathetic mindset and a calm approach to care
• Strong communication skills and the capacity to develop strong partnerships
• Ability to follow care plans & place the customer’s needs first
• EOL experience & Dementia care experience desirable
• Flexibility and dedication to the job

Responsibilities

Your main duties as a Care Assistant will be:

• Deliver exceptional care designed to meet each individual’s unique needs
• Help with personal care (such as bathing, clothing and grooming)
• Meal preparation assistance, preparation and nutrition
• Help with drugs, prescriptions and safe disposal
• Do minor chores such as tidying, laundry and general cleaning
• Be a reliable, kind, recognisable face to all the consumers you look after
