Hyne Town House is a delightful Georgian period building tucked behind the Parish Church in the picturesque South Hams village of Strete, between Dartmouth and Kingsbridge, providing our residents with stunning sea views and comfortable en-suite accommodation. Established in 1989, we have developed an exceptional reputation for the professional and caring care of the elderly.

The part

We are looking for a caring, friendly, dedicated, and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our loving team. You will be part of the daily life of our residents, supporting their physical, emotional, and social welfare in a friendly and respectful environment.

Your duties will include:

• Assist residents with personal care such as washing, dressing, and mobility
• Helping residents with medicine and meals under supervision
• Developing meaningful ties with residents and families
• Contributions to care plans and reporting changes in the resident’s condition
• Encouraging involvement in activities and socialising
• Providing a safe, clean, and friendly environment

About You

• A real desire to care for others
• A gentle, tolerant, and understanding disposition
• Excellent communication skills, team-player mindset.
• Previous care experience preferred but not needed – complete training will be given.
• Flexible to work varying hours, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays
