Main duties of the job
We’re looking for a driven and enthusiastic Test Analyst to join the My Medical Record team. The person will provide excellent software testing skills for the My Medical Record platform, used by many NHS trusts in the UK. Supporting our product and development teams, you will plan, perform and execute testing projects, and track and manage issues using Jira and Xray.
The My Medical Record team leads on the development, support and rollout of an industry-leading personal health record (PHR), that enables patients to manage their own healthcare whilst away from the hospital. The service supports clinicians and patients at over 25 hospitals around the country, and our work programme is rapidly expanding.
Person Specification
Qualifications, knowledge and experience
Essential
- Relevant degree (or equivalent), or experience of software testing in a highly complex technical environment
- Knowledge and expertise of test methodologies and relevant industry standards.
- Knowledge and expertise in test tools e.g. Visual Studio, Team Foundation Server or Jira.
- Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server
- Experience writing and executing basic SQL queries
- Experience of server operating systems such as Windows Server, Unix/Linux
Desirable
- ISTQB foundation or intermediate certificate in software testing.
- Able to demonstrate a sound knowledge of relevant NHS clinical and business processes.
- Working knowledge of Prince 2
