Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate Fishmonger to join our team. RM12 postal code area.

This is a position where you will assist clients with fishmonger abilities such as cutting and preparing fish as customers require for our Fish counter, under the supervision of our Head Manager.

What You Will Be Doing

• Keep the environment clean and safe: This implies that tools, equipment, work places are sanitised and signage is clear and up to date.
• Record daily temperature of freezers, chillers, fridges, and keep fish prep spaces clean and organised for perfect storage of delectable seafood.
• The task includes standing for long periods of time and the occasional large box.
• You’ll do several jobs to prepare our seafood for our clients, including descaling, gutting, filleting, trimming, packing, or wrapping with the standard or special needs of our customers.
• Display a range of fish for sale on our fish and delicatessen counters.
• It is important to observe food hygiene and health rules. Training will be given (if required).
• Check stock and freshness on a daily basis, and advise on stock levels.
• Shift starts at 4:30am daily.

What We Want

• Minimum 2 years proven experience as a fishmonger.
• I love fish and shellfish.
• Team Player – Willing to work in a team environment.
• In a fast-paced work atmosphere, when you’re juggling several different activities, good time management skills are vital.
• English required.
• Must be a quick learner and able to learn new skills necessary.
