Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Domiciliary Carer/Healthcare Assistant to join our caring and professional team in the Newport/Torfaen area. The successful candidate will provide high-quality, person-centred care to service users within their own homes, supporting them to live as independently and comfortably as possible. Your role will include assisting with all aspects of daily living such as personal care, meal preparation, medication support, and mobility assistance. You will build trusting relationships with service users, offering companionship and emotional support while ensuring their dignity, safety, and well-being at all times. This role is vital in helping people maintain their quality of life, independence, and confidence within the comfort of their own home.

Full-time and part-time positions available.

Please note: Applicants outside the Newport/Torfaen area must be willing to relocate prior to starting this role.

Applicants requiring Visa sponsorship MUST already be living in the United Kingdom.

Duties:

• Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and preparing meals, eating, dressing, medication,
• Communicate effectively with service users, families, and healthcare professionals
• Implement care plans under the supervision of medical staff
• Drive service users to appointments or outings when required
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for service users this may include light domestic work
• Provide emotional support to service users and their families

Skills & Requirements:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to follow care plans accurately and responsibly
• Valid driving licence (own car preferable)
• Experience in a care home or home care setting (preferred)
• Proficiency in English
• Basic IT skills for documentation and record keeping
