We’re looking for an ambitious, creative and financially motivated Bars and Catering Manager to join our vibrant and passionate theatrical team. It is an interesting and unique opportunity beyond standard bar management to design and grow the bars’ offer, whilst investigating prospects for the theatre’s small-scale live event schedule and key income streams.
The chosen candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day running of our bars and catering services, providing a safe, efficient and passionate bar service for the theatre’s big house events. The function is also crucial in developing new income streams through public and private events and hires, and novel hospitality experiences. You will be able to grow the service and help influence the future of the venue.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to start or build a career in bar management and live events, and combines operational efficiency with innovation and entrepreneurial thinking. You’ll be a hands-on leader with a strong business acumen, outstanding organisational abilities and a passion for providing exceptional client experiences.
If you are looking for a fast-paced, audience-driven environment and are delighted by the potential to mix hospitality with live events, we encourage you to apply. This is a great moment to join the theatre team as the venue is undergoing an exciting series of refurbishments to the bars, and this role will provide the postholder the opportunity to bring ideas, make a positive difference to the service and grow with us.
For an informal chat about the role, please contact James Kramer, Front of House Manager, on 01422 351156 or james.kramer@calderdale.gov.uk.
