Knowledge, Training and Experience

Essential

• Masters Degree or equivalent in a numerical subject, and evidence of continuing professional development
• Extensive experience working within a Software Development or Integration Team at a senior level in an Acute NHS Trust
• Experience of managing people and large teams in a technical department
• Experience of leading and effecting successful change
• Proven experience of resolving complex information issues and communicating these to staff at all levels
• Full IT service lifecycle exposure (ITIL).
• Expert Knowledge of Relational Database Development using Microsoft SQL, T-SQL, and SSIS
• Expert Knowledge of Web Development using Microsoft .NET, HTML/CSS and JavaScript
• Detailed knowledge of interfacing with different technologies in a development environment using HL7 standards
• Thorough knowledge in securing and auditing best practices within application development

Desirable

• Evidence of working towards a postgraduate qualification such as MBCS (Member of the British Computer Society) or other technical certification
• Experience of budget management
• Experience of supplier management
• Experience of full end-to-end software development using Microsoft and Web Technologies (HTML5, CSS, JavaScript).
• Formal project management experience
• Working knowledge of design architecture, data warehousing, and analytical methods
• Knowledge of using Oracle SQL
• Knowledge of robotic process automation
