Job Summary

We are looking for a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong early childhood education background and a genuine joy of working with children. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will be a key member of the team in providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children to learn and flourish. Duties include designing and implementing educational activities, providing for each child’s well-being and establishing and maintaining strong connections with children and families.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Create and administer interesting educational programs that are customised to meet the unique needs of each child.
• Supervise and assist children throughout play, making sure they are always safe and sound.
• Ensure good communication with parents on their child’s progress and development.
• Work with others to establish a positive team atmosphere that supports professional development.
• Set up and stick to daily patterns, like lunch times, nap times, and activities.
• Observe and evaluate children’s development, maintaining accurate records of progress.
• Work within health and safety requirements in the nursery environment.
• Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to strengthen professional abilities.

Work Experience

• Previous experience dealing with children in a nursery or childcare setting is a must
• A qualification in Early Childhood Education or a comparable discipline would be preferred.
• Proven leadership qualities, capable of managing small teams efficiently.
• Good verbal and written English communication skills to interact with children, parents and colleagues.
