Eclectic Care Ltd is looking for caring, reliable and professional Female Domiciliary Care Workers to join our expanding team in Maidstone and the surrounding regions.

This is a fulfilling community-based profession providing high-quality care and assistance to persons in their own homes, helping them to keep their independence, dignity and quality of life.

As a Domiciliary Care Worker, you will help a wide variety of clients including older people, people living with dementia, people with physical impairments, people with long-term health conditions and people who need assistance with activities of daily living. No two days will ever be the same, and you will have the opportunity to really make a difference in the lives of the people you support.

Main Responsibilities

• Deliver person-centred care which addresses the particular requirements, preferences and care plan of each client.
• Assist clients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, washing)
• Help clients to transfer and to move around and promote independence as far as possible.
• Administer or assist in the administration of medication according to company policies, procedures, and training;
• Prepare food and aid with eating and drinking as needed.
• Provide companionship, emotional support, and improve wellbeing and reduce social isolation.
• Help with modest household activities such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe home environment.
• Assist clients with shopping, appointments, and access to community events.
• Monitor and report any changes in the physical and mental welfare of clients.
• Document care and maintain correct records.
• Always adhere to safeguarding, health and safety, infection prevention and corporate regulations.

Minimum Requirements

• A loving, understanding, and patient character.
• Excellent communication and people abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage your time well.
• A dedication to providing high-quality, person-centred care.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Must have access to a reliable vehicle since you will be required to travel between client houses during the day.
• Right to work in the UK or eligible to apply for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship.
• Preparedness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.

Preferred Criteria

• Previous experience working in domiciliary care, home care, healthcare or support work.
• Experience in supporting people with dementia or other complicated care requirements.
• A Certificate in Health and Social Care.
• Medication administration training
• First Aid certified.
