In order to provide domiciliary (home) care services to clients in their homes, we are looking for a committed and caring Care Assistant with a current driver’s license. This position entails providing person-centred care as well as crucial transportation support to help clients maintain their independence and quality of life.

Important Duties – Duties of Domiciliary Care

• Give customers excellent personal care and assistance in their homes.

• Help with daily living tasks includes clothing, grooming, bathing, and using the restroom

• Support clients with mobility and transfers using appropriate movement and handling techniques

• Administer drugs in compliance with treatment guidelines and established procedures.

• Assist with eating and drinking as needed, and prepare wholesome meals.

• Perform modest domestic activities, including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe home environment

• Keep track of and document the health, happiness, and condition of your clients.

• Notify senior staff and medical professionals of any changes or concerns as soon as possible.

• To lessen loneliness and enhance well-being, offer company and emotional support.

• Respect clients’ choices, autonomy, and dignity by adhering to personalised care plans.

Key Requirements

• Prior experience in home care, domiciliary care, or comparable care environments

• A valid driver’s licence in the UK with no more than six penalty points

• Own a car with the proper insurance for work use

• Knowledge of safeguarding protocols and dedication to the protection of vulnerable adults

• Ability to work independently and manage your own time effectively

• The ability to move and handle objects safely

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

• An approach to care that is considerate, patient, and respectful

• The ability to work different shifts, such as weekends, evenings, and bank holidays

• Willingness to travel locally between clients’ residences

Desired Experience & Qualifications

• Health and Social Care NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 (or desire to work towards)

• Experience helping clients with dementia, learning difficulties, or complex needs

• Moving and handling certification

• Qualification for First Aid at Work

• Training in the administration of medications

• Experience working with care planning and documentation
