That will stand to you as a maintenance person where you will be expected to carry out such repairs. If you have a broad variety of artisanship and practical abilities this will stand to you when carrying out repairs or general maintenance on buildings. The task might be anything from simple building upkeep to plumbing, painting and gardening.

The day-to-day work of a maintenance person is very varied and you can find yourself painting a wall one day and fixing a central heating system the next.The work also demands the Maintenance person to be willing to drive to other satellite accommodation across Manchester should any repair needs completing.

Some of your day to day responsibilities will include:

• changing light bulbs and checking that other fixtures and fittings are working properly
• Changing wiring, fuses, junction boxes, etc.
• Plumbing and Carpentry Minor
• General areas/old service user rooms – clearing or cleaning.
• Furniture or equipment moving
• Building of furniture or equipment
• Garden/landscape installation and maintenance
• Repairs to pavements
• Painting and decorating
• Cleaning gutters
• Clean Rooms & Empty Rooms
• Maintaining the exterior of the home throughout the year
• Seasonal property interior maintenance
