We are looking for a new Data Warehouse Developer/Data Engineer with experience primarily focused on Power BI & SQL Server BI toolset (SQL/SSRS/SSIS). The team is involved with data insight, data transformation, ETL tasks, National Submission work, and reporting for the trust from various systems. Currently, this is designed in a data warehouse and tabular models and presented using SSRS and Power BI. We are looking for someone with strong architecture design skills in Power BI, creating models, and designing reporting solutions for the business.
The post holder will be responsible for assisting in the delivery, development, and management of a comprehensive business intelligence service and ensuring that this environment will enable the Trust to achieve its clinical and business objectives.
Main duties of the job
The method to deliver this will be through the intelligent application of information and the provision of robust intelligence about the Trust’s business functions. This will ensure we have in place an organisation capable of delivering safe, effective, and efficient patient care through the provision of quality information promptly to where it is required.
The post holder will be part of the Information team, charged with the responsibility to lead the integration of a “business intelligence” philosophy and information/performance management culture throughout the Trust in line with the IM&T Strategy.
The post holder will have responsibility for supporting the development and implementation of the Trust-wide Power BI platform, along with ongoing development of the data warehouse.
The post holder will liaise with colleagues within the Information Analysts and Clinical Systems teams to help deliver information requirements. This will require analysis, interpretation, and resolution of highly complex problems, covering a wide range of clinical and business areas at a national level.
The post holder will be the secondary resource for developing, maintaining, and evolving the Trust’s Data Warehouse, to support the provision of all reporting requirements. This involves transforming data from disparate corporate systems to bring them together, providing centralized information gathering, along with automated performance and Business Intelligence reporting.
