Week one: two nights; Week two: three nights
Essential Details
For this position, we are able to sponsor a visa. Candidates must already be legally permitted to work in the UK and, if required, be registered with the Displaced Workers Pool. In accordance with CQC regulations, all employment offers are subject to safer recruiting checks.

at order to help persons with learning impairments and complex needs at our small, independent residential care home in Fordham, we are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and proactive Waking Night help Worker with a calm, perceptive, and trustworthy approach.

About Us
- Located in Fordham, Colchester, we are a small, independent social care agency.

- Seven people with learning difficulties are supported in our residential care setting:
- Our large bungalow, “The Conifers,” with a lovely yard and heated outdoor pool, is occupied by five clients.
- Our new independent, self-contained apartments are home to two clients, each of whom needs specialised one-on-one assistance for their complicated needs.

One position for a Waking Night Support Worker is open.
Pattern of shift
Two nights during the first week and three nights during the second
Important Duties
- Help clients with personal hygiene, such as dressing and bathing.
- To improve clients’ quality of life, offer companionship and emotional support.
- Assist clients with their physical activity and mobility.
- Conduct surveillance, welfare checks, and individualised nighttime assistance.
- Encourage self-reliance, dignity, and person-centred assistance at all times.
- Adhere to behaviour support plans and use Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) techniques to assist individuals.
- Keep thorough records of the development and welfare of your clients.
- Participate in education and make use of continuing training possibilities.
About You
- Candidates must be at least eighteen years old.
- Since there is no public transportation, a full UK driver’s licence is required.
- Employees who work as night support workers are required to have their own transportation to and from work.
- It is crucial to have prior experience working in the care industry, ideally assisting individuals with learning difficulties.
