• Overview: The Trust is seeking an experienced Consultant Haematologist to provide specialist care for patients with blood disorders. The successful candidate will support the development of haematology services, work with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to clinical education and service improvement.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist diagnosis, treatment and management of patients with blood disorders.

• Participate in outpatient clinics and multidisciplinary team meetings.

• Contribute to the development and improvement of haematology services.

• Participate in the consultant on-call rota.

• Supervise and support junior doctors and medical students.

• Contribute to clinical audits, research and medical education.

• Maintain high standards of patient care and clinical governance.

Requirements

• MBBS or an equivalent medical qualification.

• Full GMC registration and a licence to practise.

• Entry on the GMC Specialist Register or eligibility within six months.

• Relevant specialist training and experience in haematology.

• Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams.

• Experience in teaching, supervision and clinical audit.
