Responsibilities

• Providing support in daily routines like personal hygiene, clothing, and mobility
• Specialised care for those with dementia or Alzheimer’s, keeping them secure and comfortable
• Assist patients with the administration of medications as directed by guidelines
• Develop healthy, personalised meals for specific dietary needs and preferences
• Employ behaviour management tactics to foster positive interactions and decrease distress
• Help with modest housekeeping duties to ensure a clean and safe environment
• Provide secure transportation for clients to appointments or outings as needed.
• Provide emotional support and friendship to improve mental well-being
• Respond quickly to situations and administer first aid when needed
• Keep accurate records of care actions in compliance with organisational policies

Skills

• Experience in home care or home care settings demonstrated
• Competent in patient care procedures, including medication administration.
• Experience with dementia, Alzheimer’s, end of life care,
• Skilled in excellent caregiving with a caring approach to clients.
• Good organisational abilities for meal prep and regular chores
• Valid driver’s license.
• Care qualification (care certificate, NVQ qualification), willingness to do the training required
• Excellent communication skills, ability to work independently or as a team member
